Overview


The Intranet template lets you build an internal wiki platform that serves as the single source of truth for all company-related information, such as benefits, vacation policy, company announcements, employee directory, etc. Our organization wiki template comes with several ready-made sections and features which you can easily adjust or expand based on your company’s internal processes and workflows.


There’s a separate section to track new employee onboarding, a directory of team resources where each team can store docs relevant to them, a company newsfeed, a feedback form to collect feedback from everyone, and more.


There are different access levels available for different user groups. So, for instance, a manager will have the option of adding new employees, while employees will only be able to view the directory. The Team Wikitemplate is an internal tool, so all the accounts are added by the administrator(s) and invited to the platform as part of their relevant user group.


How it works


To start customizing your intranet template, you simply need to register a Softr account (free plan is available). If you’ve used the Use Template button, you’ll be directly taken to your template, where you need to connect your Airtable or Google Sheets account to import the template’s data. After completing the setup, you can start adding content to the internal wiki and invite managers, employees, and contractors. You will soon have a comprehensive library that can serve as a central hub for all your team resources and activities.

An Intranet is a network to share information and documents between a private group of people. Usually, intranets are used by companies to give each employee access to the necessary resources.

First of all, you need to choose the right software to build your intranet. Further on, it should be extremely easy to search for and locate the required piece of content. The platform needs to have a clear content hierarchy with distinct sections for different purposes. Lastly, especially in the cases when confidential info is involved, it’s important to apply well-defined access permissions, so that no one can view/modify the data he/she isn’t supposed to.
